Seventh Heaven in Roppongi

Seventh Heaven is a sort of Western style strip club located in the Roppongi section of Tokyo. Rather than having a serious of scheduled and choreographed strip shows like the other theaters around town Seventh Heaven has more of an informal lounge atmosphere.

Unlike most adult entertainment facilities in Japan, strip clubs tend to be open to foreigners whether or not they can speak the local language. Seventh Heaven is not only open to foreigners it is specifically oriented toward them. There are western people on staff and even the Japanese workers are more than capable of speaking the English language.

Seventh Heaven is easy to find. The entrance is marked by a large illuminated sign that reads “Seventh Heaven” in large English letters. There is nothing hidden or discreet about it.

Once inside customers find a seat among the dark atmosphere. The club is decorated with a plush yet dark vibe. The usual club lighting is complimented by large disco balls. It’s definitely a strip club.

Soon after entering customers are greeted by a manager. The rules and procedures are explained. From 7:00 to 9:00 pm customers pay 5,500 Yen ($55 USD) for all the food and drinks they can handle. After 9:00 pm an entrance fee of 7,000 Yen ($70 USD) gets customers two drinks and two hours in the club. If they stay longer or drink more they have to pay more. It is free to watch the women dance on stage. Tipping is not required or expected though when tips are given the dancers will actually get nude for a little while.

A few women work the bar at all times. Some are Westerners from Russia and the former Eastern Bloc. Some are Asians from places like the Philippines. Japanese women are rarer but there is usually at least one working. Most women are average to attractive in looks. Some are a little better or worse.

Dancers rotate between the stage and the customers. Their goal is to make the customers enjoy themselves. Of course they also want to make money which means selling lady drinks and private dances.

Lady drinks cost 1,500 Yen ($15 USD) which is the same as regular drinks for customers. Guys aren’t forced into buying them but there is a strong push toward their purchase. Private dances are sold in sets of two for 5,000 Yen ($50 USD). The women get nude and may occasionally grab a customer’s junk but other than that they are non-sexual.

Touches like light strokes and hugs are more common at Seventh Heaven than they are in most strip clubs. At a lot of places in the US touching a stripper can get a guy thrown out. In Japan’s strip theaters it is also forbidden except when a guy poses with a woman for a paid photo.

In Japan’s peep shows guys can get hand or even oral services. None of that is available at Seventh Heaven. It is a more vanilla sort of place though one that guys coming from the West would probably be comfortable with.

  1. Ridiculously overpriced for what you’re getting. Very little value at this place and is not worth it.
